Your 30-day free trial

How the 30-day trial starts, what it includes, and when your card is charged.

Practice and Firm both start with 30 days free. A card goes on file when the trial starts. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.

Start a trial when you sign up

  1. On the sign-up page, choose Practice or Firm under Choose your plan.

  2. Under How many users?, set the number of users. Three is the minimum.

  3. Select Proceed.

  4. Add your card on Stripe’s secure page.

  5. Open the email we send and use the link to set your password and your authenticator.

If you leave Stripe’s page without adding a card, you can try again. You can also choose Continue on Free instead.

If you never confirm your email address, the workspace is closed before the trial ends. Your card is never charged.

Start a trial from Billing

A workspace on Free can start a trial at any time.

  1. Open Settings and choose the Billing tab.

  2. On the Practice or Firm plan, select Start 30 days free.

  3. Add your card on Stripe’s page.

Back in Debut, you see “Your card is on file and the trial has started.”

The Billing tab on Free, with Start 30 days free on the Practice and Firm plans

Each workspace gets one trial. After that, the buttons read Choose Practice and Choose Firm, and the plan is charged when you subscribe.

What the trial includes

During the trial you have everything in Firm, whichever plan you chose. When the trial ends, the workspace moves to the plan you chose.

Current plan shows the trial end date. Cost shows $0 until that date, then the monthly price.

When you are charged

Your card is charged when the trial ends. The charge is for your seats on the plan you chose. The plan then renews monthly. The Invoices card says when the first invoice comes.

If you cancel during the trial, the plan ends on the trial end date. Nothing is charged.

End the trial early

You can start paying before the 30 days are up.

  1. On the Billing tab, select End trial and subscribe.

  2. Check the amount and the card it will be charged to.

  3. Select Pay with the amount, for example Pay $180 now.

The End trial and subscribe pop-up, with Pay $180 now and Keep my trial

The trial ends at once and the first month is charged today. The plan then renews monthly from today. Any free days left are given up.

To leave the trial running, select Keep my trial.

If the card is declined, nothing is charged and the trial continues. Update the card with Change under Payment method, then try again.

End trial and subscribe appears only while a card is on file and no cancellation is booked.
