Every email your clients get from Debut comes in your name. On Firm, it can also come from an address on your own domain. You set this in Settings › Branding under Sending address.
Before you set one up
Mail goes out from BaselineZero’s sending address with your workspace name on it. Replies go to your workspace owner’s email.
This covers every client email. That means the welcome, reminders, booking emails, portal links and letters.
Set up your address
In Sending email address, enter the address mail should come from, such as [email protected].
Press Set up this address.
Add the three records shown where that domain’s DNS is hosted.
A subdomain such as onboarding.yourfirm.com keeps your main domain’s reputation apart.
Each record is a CNAME that signs your mail (DKIM). We keep checking for them for up to three days. Press Check now to check straight away.
The card also suggests a DMARC record, if your domain does not have one yet.
What the status means
Waiting for the records means mail still goes out from BaselineZero’s address with your name on it.
Sending means your mail now comes from your address.
Not found means we stopped looking after three days. Check the records, then press Set it up again.
Once it shows Sending, press Send a test to me to see a message from the new address.
Where replies go
On Firm, enter an address in Replies go to and press Save. Left empty, replies go to the workspace owner.
Change or remove it
You can change the part before the @ in Sending address. A different domain needs new records, so remove this one and set up the new address. Remove this domain sends mail from BaselineZero’s address again.
If too many emails bounce or are marked as spam, sending is paused and the card says so. Correct the bounced addresses on the People tabs, then ask BaselineZero support to resume sending.
