Connect NinjaOne to link each client to its NinjaOne organization. Its devices then show on the client and keep themselves up to date. Owners and admins connect it on the Practice and Firm plans.
Create an API client in NinjaOne
In NinjaOne, open Administration → Apps → API and choose Add.
Set the application platform to Web, not API Services. Name it Debut.
Paste the Redirect URI that Debut shows. It is https://app.baselinezero.io/integrations/ninjaone/callback.
Tick the scopes Monitoring and Management. Allow the grant types Authorization code and Refresh token.
Save. Copy the client id and the client secret, which NinjaOne shows once.
Connect it in Debut
Open Settings, choose Integrations, and in the RMM card choose Connect beside NinjaOne.
Choose Continue with NinjaOne.
Pick your Region. It is the host in your browser’s address bar when you are signed in to NinjaOne.
Paste the Client id and the Client secret.
Choose Continue to NinjaOne and approve the request there.
Nothing is saved until NinjaOne confirms the grant. You then land on the connection’s page, which says how many organizations it reaches.
Debut reads devices and agent check-ins. It reads organizations, and it makes one only when you ask. No device, policy or setting is changed.
Link a client to its NinjaOne organization
Open the client and choose its Setup tab.
In the NinjaOne card, pick its NinjaOne organization. An organization with the same name as the client is chosen for you.
Choose Save.
Each organization can be linked to one client. If NinjaOne has no organization for the client yet, choose the link Have Debut make followed by the client’s name. On that page, tick Make it in NinjaOne instead, check the name, and pick Settings from. Choose your template organization there, not a client’s.
See the client’s devices
Once linked, the card lists the client’s devices, with which are online. Debut reads them every 15 minutes while the client is being onboarded. Nothing goes back to NinjaOne, and none of this is shown to the client.
Devices matched to people
On the client’s People tab, each device is placed with the person who last signed in to it. Each person shows how many of their computers have been seen. To move a device, open the person’s Edit panel and tick or untick it under Their computers.
The connection’s page
Choose Configure beside NinjaOne on the Integrations tab. The page shows the grant, the linked clients and the recent checks.
Check connection reads NinjaOne now.
Authorize again… replaces the credential and keeps the history.
Disconnect NinjaOne stops Debut using the credential. Revoke the API client in NinjaOne too.
Authorizing with another region or another NinjaOne account unlinks every client. Link them again once the new organizations are read.
