A client’s onboarding at a glance

The client page, its seven tabs and how to see the portal as your client does.

Every client has one page. The top says where the onboarding stands, and seven tabs hold the work.

The top of the page

  • The line under the client’s name says the day of the plan, the status word and how many tasks are done. Once the project contact has opened the portal, it says when.

  • Open client portal opens the portal as your client sees it, in a new tab.

  • The dark button opens this week’s letter, such as Send week-two letter. Before the kickoff it reads Send before-kickoff letter.

The tabs

  • Plan holds every phase and task, the day count and the client’s details.

  • Today lists what is due today for this client, blocked work first.

  • Credentials is the ledger of every login the old provider held.

  • People lists everyone at the client and where each of them stands.

  • Portal is the message thread the client reads in their portal.

  • Audit is the record of everything that happened. Filter it by All, People or Systems.

  • Setup holds the team, the kickoff, the lockout date, the welcome email for this client and the ways to end the onboarding.

The side of the Plan tab

  • A ring shows the day of the plan and the wrap-up date.

  • A card shows how many of the client’s people have booked a session, with a link to view the portal as the project contact.

  • This week lists tasks that ticked themselves from a connected tool.

  • Details lists the owner, the client contact, the kickoff, the wrap-up date, the lockout date and the outgoing provider.

  • Reading documents says whether AI may read this client’s handover documents. Only the workspace owner can change it.

See the portal as your client

  1. Select Open client portal.

  2. The portal opens as the project contact. The bar at the bottom reads Viewing as and their first name.

  3. Select Someone else to see the portal as another person at the client.

  4. Select Back to return to the client page.

The preview shows exactly what that person sees. It does not count as a visit, and no link is used.

A message sent from the Portal tab appears in the client’s portal the next time they open it. It is not emailed, so send anything urgent yourself.
