A discount lowers what you pay for your plan. Billing shows the list price struck through, with the price you actually pay beside it.
Enter a promotion code
You enter a promotion code on Stripe’s page when you add your card. That happens when you sign up for Practice or Firm, or when you choose a plan from the Billing tab.
How a discount shows
In Current plan, Cost shows the list price struck through, then your price. A line underneath says what takes it off and for how long.
The line reads one of three ways.
A code that lasts a set time says “each month until” a date.
A code with no end says “each month”.
A code for one invoice says “the next invoice”. Cost then shows the lower price for the first invoice, then the full price per month.
The line names your promotion code. If the discount came without a code, it shows the discount’s name.
During a trial
Cost shows $0 until the trial ends, then the discounted price. The End trial and subscribe pop-up shows the struck price and what is charged today.
What you are charged
The struck price is the plan’s list price for your seats. Your invoices show what was actually charged. If a plan change is prorated mid-month, the invoice is the record.
Each invoice is on Stripe’s page through Invoice and receipt on the Billing tab.
