Owners and admins invite members from Settings › Team. Each member gets their own sign-in and sees what their role allows.
Steps
Go to Settings › Team.
Under Invite a teammate, fill in Name and Work email.
Choose a Role.
Choose Send invitation.
They get an email with a link that sets their password and authenticator. The link works for three days. You can resend it from their page.
With Microsoft sign-in
If your workspace uses Microsoft sign-in, you can let people on your domain join by signing in, without an invitation. Turn on Accounts on first sign-in under Settings › Sign-in.
They join as read only, with no clients. They take no seat. Give them a role and clients on their page under Settings › Team.
Roles
Owner. Runs the workspace, including billing. There is one owner, and ownership can be handed to another member.
Admin. Manages settings and the team, and sees every client. Owners and admins can make someone an admin.
Engineer. Works on onboardings. Sees the clients they are assigned to.
Read only. Sees the clients they are assigned to and changes nothing.
An engineer or reader starts with only the clients they are assigned to. Widen that on their page.
Seats
On Practice and Firm, each owner, admin and engineer is a seat. Billing follows your team, with a three-seat minimum. Read-only members are free and never take a seat. Free allows three members.
